Welcome to Track Records

What is Track Records?

Understanding what is happening in regards to your event order is a critical component to having a great, professional party.

That is why, DJK has made your life easier with the all new Track Records Program. What Track Records does, is break down your order into several steps that help you see what is happening behind the scenes in regards to your event. Track Records Not only lets you know who placed the order, when the event will take place, and package type. It will also tell you what progress we have made in processing your order, that way you will never have to worry about having to stress out about your event not running smoothly.

Track Records uses the Google List API engine to easily track events and allow for live Real time updates.

How does it work?

So, whenever we finish a step, you will immediately know about your order status as it will flash upon refreshing of this page.

What does each status item mean?

Track Records breaks down your order into several key steps starting with you placing the order.

Checking Availability - At this stage, the order has been placed and the DJ is checking the booking calendar to see if their are any scheduling conflicts. If there is any scheduling conflicts, we will contact you with 3 to 4 scheduling dates to allow you the option to reschedule your event.

Reserving Slot - At this stage, the DJ has determined that there is no scheduling conflict and he has reserved the requested time and date based on your order.

NOTE: At this stage, you have the option to cancel and/or reschedule your event within 2 days prior to the reserved event date in order to receive no cancellation penalties. However, if you cancel on the day of your event you will be charged a cancellation fee of $2.00.

Creating Playlist - At this point, the DJ has begun to build a rough outline of your playlist. Since this is just a basic outline, some songs may be added and/or removed depending on the decision by our senior playlist review team.

Reviewing Playlist - At this point, the DJ will meet with the Playlist Review team and run through the playlist several or more times until both parties see the playlist as ready for finalization.

NOTE: During this stage, your playlist may run through multiple reviews before it is approved by the reviewing staff. Once ready and approved, your playlist will move on to the Finalization process.

Finalizing Playlist - At this stage, the playlist has been approved and has been cleared for final processing. During final processing, the playlist is named, sorted and then the songs are randomly shuffled into the DJ program and then the playlist is locked to prevent further edits from being made.

Testing Equipment - At this stage, the DJ performs a quick diagnostic play through of your playlist to ensure nothing was overlooked during the reviewing process. The DJ will be looking for songs that may contain inappropriate words, pops and strange sound anomalies, as well as, file conversion and file formatting errors.

DJ IN TRANSIT - At this stage, your playlist is ready and we have tested our equipment to ensure that everything is working correctly. Also, during this stage, we have begun packing our equipment and are on the road to the event location specified in your order.

DJ At Location - At this point, we have arrived at the designated Event location and have begun to unpack our equipment. This stage is primarily to let you know we have arrived.

DJ Setting up - At this stage, the DJ will have confirmed his arrival and will have begun to setup his equipment near the party area.

DJ Checking Equipment - At this point, the DJ will preform another on-site test to ensure nothing was damaged and/or broken while in transit to the event. Also, the DJ will check and configure his equipment to best suit the event environment. This includes, configuring speakers, lights and other equipment the DJ was requested to bring to the event.

Deejaying - At this point, the DJ has completed his tests and has begun to play your playlist. Let's just say... ITS PARTY TIME!

Packing up - At this point, the guests are beginning to leave and the party is beginning to wind down. Once the last song is played the DJ or host will make his or her closing remarks. Afterwards, the DJ will begin to close up shop and pack up his equipment and put it back into the transport vehicle. At this point, the DJ will collect his tips and payments for the event.

NOTE: Specially Marked events such as those which include a Friends and Family promo code or other special discount will not be required to make a payment unless specified on your receipt.

Party Complete - At this point, the party is over and the DJ has received his payment (if requested) and has left the event location with his equipment.

What does DLC (URL) stand for?

You can even download the entire playlist onto your computer, iPod, iPhone or Mp3 player to enjoy again and again.
